In 2017, House of Yes was invited to be a featured collaborator for the ‘You Are So Lucky’ summer celebration, a two-day experience taking place one hour from New York City in a landmark Gilded Age mansion, perched on sprawling grounds above the Hudson River. Our creative team was given the entirety of the second floor to be used as our blank canvas, with only one directive: dream big. Starting from this seed, we developed a full immersive experience journey called House of Truth, which explored concepts of the psyche, identity, memory and fragmentation of personality.
To bring our vision to life, we took each of the 20 rooms as their own unique concept, creating a unique environment and experience in each space, including a sound healing ceremony in an abandoned swimming pool, a never-ending birthday party for your inner child, a game parlor ran by trickster magicians and a library of madness filled with frazzled philosophers. Partygoers explored the maze of the mansion’s spaces, as hallways led to hidden rooms and revealed more into the depths of the self through discovery.
OUR MAGIC
Created House of Truth original concept including story and audience journey.
Lead the second floor happenings inside the mansion, offering guests a House of Yes branded art experience within the You Are So Lucky event.
Designed the visual identity for over twenty unique spaces and rooms.
Produced technical elements of each installation including decor, sound design and lighting.
Cast and directed over 30 actors, characters, performers and entertainers to activate the spaces.
Promoted the event on House of Yes channels, helping to reach an expanded audience and increase visibility of You Are So Lucky.
